Reimer Retains the Number One Position
Calgary, Canada - Kevin Reimer retained the number one starting position on a rainy second day of qualifying that saw the track start out wet, dry out only to be soaked by rain once again. A free form qualifying format was allowed that enabled all competitors to presnt themselves to the line without a specific qualifying order.
Many riders gambled on the changing weather conditions with the track in a constant flux between wet and dry. Near the end of the session the track was completely dry and some fast times were being laid down. Some fast riders like James Kelly and Alex Tongue waited too long and as they were preparing to make their runs, the rain returned soaking the track.
There were no riders inside of the top ten who were able to improve on their Friday performances. Reimer will be followed by Dillon Stephens in second, Niko Desmarais in third, Kyle Wester in fourth and Nick Breton fifth.

Lally Appears to be Unstoppable
Andy Lally continued to look unbeatable by posting a time in the second round of qualifying that was more than three seconds faster than his nearest rival. Unless someone is able to find a huge increase in speed overnight, Lally appears to be on the way to his first Street Luge World Championship. Kolby Parks will start second while former World Champion David Dean will take off from the number three spot. Christian Conaway and Frank Williams round out the top five.
