Teutonia, Brazil- Douglas “Dalua” Silva retained the number one qualifying position for tomorrows Malarrara Pro Teutonia World Cup and lowered the track record in the process. The Brazilian star established a new track record of 1:17.723 beating his day old mark of 1:18.711 by nearly a full second. Mischo Erban from Vernon, BC, Canada retained the number two position with a time of 1:19.601. His time was more than a full second faster than his Friday mark.

Teutonia, Brazil- Under warm and sunny skies, practice and the first round of qualifying got underway for the Malarrara Pro Teutonia today in Brazil. After last years torrential rains that practically washed out the entire event, everyone was happy to be riding under ideal conditions. After a series of warm up and practice runs to get riders aquainted with the intense speeds of the Teutonia course, it was time for qualifying.

Goldendale, WA, USA - Brianne Davies continued her domination of Women's Downhill Skateboarding with a convincing win at Maryhill. Davies was the #1 qualifier and l won all of her heats enroute to her victory. She looked set to have a good battle with her arch rival Katie Neilson who qualified in the #2 position, but Katie injured her foot in a crash and was unable to give a serious challenge.

Goldendale, WA, USA - On a day that must be considered the craziest in the history of the IGSA, Canadian Patrick Switzer battled the elements to win the 2009 Maryhill Festival of Speed. Throughout the day, the weather was constantly changing from sunshine to strong winds to pouring rain and back again. This cycle occurred no less than six times through the day. Douglas Silva from Brazil finished in 2nd and James Kelly from the USA was 3rd. Rounding out the top six were Canadians Nathan Lang in 4th, Mischo Erban in 5th and Scoot Smith in 6th.
