This will be the second of 3 IGSA World Cups events in the month of July. From July 16th to July 19th there will be up to 200 riders from all continents competing in the Jungholz World Cup event this year. The route is in the scene known for its spectacular overtaking until the last curve with speeds up to 100 km. This event guarantees exciting, eventful racing from early to late. The favorites this year come from Brazil, Canada, Australia, United States, and also from Europe. The best German, Bassi Haller from Stuttgart, is expected to be hardest for the boulders from overseas Angereisten. The Swiss Martin Siegrist won in 2004 and 2007 and will try to defend his title. www.almabtrieb-downhill.com |

Kevin Reimer Wins in Downhill Skateboarding

Peyragudes, France - Canadian Kevin Reimer earned a dominant victory in the Parygudes Deluxe Cup Downhill Skateboard race. It was Reimer’s first IGSA World Cup victory and he did it by defeating the strongest collection of international racers ever assembled. Fellow Canadian Scott “Scoot” Smith made finished in second and three time World Champion Martin Siegrist from Switzerland was third. Mike Zietsman from Cape Town, South Africa was fourth.

Mischo Erban Qualifies Number One

Peyragudes, France - Mischo Erban from Vancouver, Canada dominated today’s Downhill Skateboard qualifying session to earn the number one starting position for the IGSA World Cup downhill race being held in Peyragudes, France. Erban led a Canadian sweep of the top three qualifiers with Nate Lang in second and Kevin Reimer in third. Jonathon Martinez of France was fourth with reigning IGSA World Cup Series Champion Erik Lunberg from Sweden in fifth position. |

Peyragudes, France – The Peyragudes Deluxe Cup got underway today under beautiful weather conditions in the French ski resort town. Downhill competitors from around the globe have converged in the Pyranees Mountains for the second IGSA World Cup event of the 2008 season. |
