Goldendale, WA, USA - Mischo Erban was the first skater down the Maryhill course in qualifying today and laid down a time that no one else could touch for the rest of the day.  Qualifying in second place was Brazilian Douglas Silva making his first ever appearance at Maryhill.  James Kelly qualified third followed by Kevin Reimer in fourth and Nathan Lang in fifth.  Two-time defending Maryhill Festival of Speed Champion Scoot Smith wound up in eighth.  A total of 160 downhill skateboarders made qualifying attempts today.

Lang Rules Maryhill Once Again

One month ago it looked like Matthias Lang wouldn't be making the trip to Maryhill after fracturing his ankle at the Padova Grand Prix in Italy.  Fortunately his ankle improved enough so that the two-time defending Maryhill Street Luge Champion could make the trip over from his native Germany.  Facing stiff competition from the always fast Mike MacIntyre, Andy Lally, David Dean and John Rogers just to name a few, Matthias was able to to post the quickest time in first round qualifying.
