Michael Serek leads a group of Classic Luge riders in practice

Insul, Germany- Yvon Labarthe Switzerland and Austrian Michael Serek have been awarded the European Championship titles in Street Luge and Classic Luge respectively after todays finals were rained out.  Luca Santolamazza from Italy finished second in Street Luge followed by Michael Muller from Austria in third.

Martin Siegrist on his way to winning in Insul, Germany

Iinsul, Germany -  Martin Siegrist entered his first race of the year this weekend in Insul, Germany and showed that he has lost none of his speed by defeating a strong field of international riders to win the 2010 IGSA European Championship.  It was his fifth time winning the European Championship after also winning it in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009.

Insul Logo 2010

Insul, Germany - Insul Cup 2010 is happening this weekend, August 6-8 for the IGSA European Championship in Insul, Germany.  The technical racecourse with several straights and hairpins has a length of 2.1 kilometers (1.3 mi).
