Competitors from around the world are streaming into Peyragudes, France for the Peyragudes 2Luxe Cup. Rider check in got underway last night for the first IGSA World Cup race of the year.
Peyragudes is one of the most challenging tracks on the World Cup circuit and much of the talk was about the new start. Event organizer Cyrille “Komakino” Harnay decided to move the start to a different, more technical route that is certain to create many new challenges for the riders. The athlete tent has also been moved to bring everything closer together. Both improvements were made with experience gained from last years event.

The manufacturer of Risch Aero Helmets is eager to return Almabtrieb to the World Cup circuit in 2010 and has teamed up with a well known event organizer to make it happen. The return of the popular and classic race would be a welcome addition to the Series.
