Prize Purse Increased to $1500!!!

A number of last minute sponsors have come on board raising the U.S. Nationals Prize Purse to $1500 and also adding in thousands of dollars in prizes!

Seismic Skate Systems has stepped up to Sponsor Seismic Corner.  Their contribution raises the cash purse from $1000 to $1500!  The Open Downhill Skateboarding Winner will now receive $500 cash plus a Sector 9 deck.  Special thanks to Seismic, Sector 9, Abec 11, Loaded, Orangatang, Freeline, GMR, Skatera and Ronan who have all contributed to the pool of cash and prizes that will be awarded.

Oslo, Norway- Even though the Norwegion Championships was designated as an IGSA National event, it was quite an international race with riders from Germany, France, Ireland, Poland and Sweden in attendance.  Some well known racers like Boris "Jambon" Schinke, Lutz Wagenhauser (organizer of the Euro Champs) Christoffer Sanne and 2006 IGSA World Cup Series Champion Fredrik Lindstrom came out to mix it up in Oslo.

Sunday morning we woke up to a beautiful day in Pretoria. This was race day and all the riders were amped to get to the hill. The notion was for all the riders to get to the top and riding as soon as possible due to the race starting time was moved an hour earlier due to the sun setting early in Pretoria. With all the marshals in place practice got underway much to the happiness of all the riders.
