(Updated)
Teutonia, Brazil – Kevin Reimer rode a brilliant race today and scored a final round victory over Douglas “Dalua” Silva to win today’s Malarrara Pro Teutonia World Cup race. Reimer now has a lock on his first IGSA World Cup Series Championship with three wins and a second place in his four best events.
If either Patrick Switzer or Christoph Batt were to win both of the remaining two races, they could tie Reimer but the tie breaker is each riders best fifth result. Since neither Switzer or Batt has two second place finishes, neither can match Reimer’s record for the year.Reimer has completely dominated this season finishing either first or second in each of the five World Cup races he’s entered. With wins at the World Championships, Graveyard Call and Teutonia along with second place finishes at Maryhill and Kozakov, Reimer has proven himself as the rider to beat in 2010. The IGSA would like to congratulate Kevin Reimer on winning his first World Cup Series Championship.
