Bathurst, Australia - Nick Duffield set the quickest time in todays initial Street Luge Qualifying session. The three time defending Newton's Nation Champion posted a time of 1:02.106 to earn the number one spot.
American David Dean was second with a time of 1:02.174. His time was even more impressive since he had never seen the Mt. Panorama track prior to today and he only turned four practice runs before qualifying. As Dean becomes more comfortable with the track over the weekend, he could pose a serious threat to Duffield's domination.
